Information about Applying for PCRC

(a) To apply in person

Required Document:

1. A completed application form.
2. Proof of identity:
- (i) R.O.C. citizens: An original R.O.C. ID. If the English version is needed, please present one copy of passport
- (ii) Citizens of China, Hong Kong, or Macau: An original Permanent Resident Certificate.
- (iii) Foreign nationals residing in Taiwan: An original passport or ARC. (The Originals will be returned after verification.)
3. Fee: NT $100 is charged for one copy of PCRC. Each additional copy applied at the same time is charged NT$20 (the contents of each PCRC should be the same).
4. For the application by proxy, a power of attorney with the signature of the absent applicant must be submitted (original only). The IDs of both the proxy and the absent applicant are required.

(b) To apply via the Internet

1. Please click the link: http://eli.npa.gov.tw/E7WebO/index01.jsp and fill in the blanks.
2. After 2 working days*, please bring the required documents to Kaohsiung City Police Department or Local Police Precincts** to pick up the Police Criminal Record Certificate. The certificate will be invalidated after the 30 days of issuance date. If applicants do not pick up certificates by deadline, they will be required to apply again. *: excluding the day of the application, weekends and holidays. It may take longer for those who need further check through judicial or military judicial authorities.) **:

2.Original passport or A.R.C. or the photocopy of passport and ARC (authenticated or notarized by ROC embassies and consulates, Straits Exchange Foundation or other relevant notary public abroad)
3.US$ 7 in cash(applicants in Hong Kong & Macau: US$6.00) is charged for one copy of PCRC. Each additional copy applied at the same time is US$1 (the contents of each PCRC should be the same). Postage is included.
4.An self-addressed envelope
